The South Llano River Lodge
is located in the valley of the
South
Llano
River
and the bluffs and hill country of this special area of
Texas
. The Lodge is a celebration of the river and the hard fought realities of the early
Texas
ranchers. Forty acres of farm and pecan bottom land adjoining the River are the
setting of
the Lodge.
We have crafted an accommodation
for fly fisherman, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts and those who seek a relaxing weekend
in the country. The Lodge provides direct access to the river. Canoe and shuttle
service to nearby points of access are included in the Lodge services for guests
to make float trips on the river.
The Lodge buildings offer
a main house of comfortable lounge with fireplace and dining room coupled with a
guesthouse of four rooms with private baths. This discriminating
Texas
elegance blends traditional simplicity with an eclectic design to create a relaxing
environment. Guests can spend the morning on the terrace with the rising sun or
the evening sitting in the screened in porch sharing the fresh breeze with a friendly
conversation. The terrace overlooks a pond that serves our guests as a casting warm-up
for the river experience or the relaxing view past the fields to the trees lining
the river beyond.
