About Us

 

Walter and Susan Curry are opening this lodge in the valley of the South Llano River to guests. The lodge is the result of four years of thoughtful consideration. They are opening their home to guests and the opportunity to share this beautiful environment with them.

 

Walter was born in San Angelo,Texas and spent many weekends fishing the South Llano. Carefully trained by his father to fly fish, Walter was an adult in Dallas before he met others that understood the magic of the line unfolding onto the water. Walter is excited about sharing his knowledge and experiences with others.

 

Susan is a transplant Texan from Indiana . She grew slowly to enjoy the unique landscape of the Texas Southwest and now finds the openness refreshing and the river rejuvenating. Susan transitions from over thirty years as an interior designer in major urban settings to the quiet beauty of the South Llano River . She enjoys the outdoors and looks forward to the friends she will make while managing the Lodge.

 

Susan and Walter both enjoy cooking and entertaining. The South Llano River Lodge is their way of providing a pleasant experience in this natural setting. Good food, good times and friendly conversations are their goals for their guests.
